Lamia Katbi, MD – Pediatrician and Advocate for Mindful Living

Dr. Lamia Katbi is a well-known pediatrician in Northwest Indiana, dedicated to guiding families in raising healthy, mindful children.

Originally from Latakia, Syria, Dr. Katbi pursued her dream of becoming an American Board-certified pediatrician after moving to the U.S. with her family. She trained at the prestigious University of Chicago’s Pediatric Residency Program, later serving as Chief Resident.

Her personal experiences, including overcoming her own struggles. Her holistic philosophy of care led her to write her bestselling book, Just What the Doctor Ordered: The Five Pillars of Optimal Health, which focuses on holistic methods to avoid and treat burnout.

Dr. Katbi enjoys meditation, yoga, and the outdoors. Her motto? “Everyone has a story. What’s yours?”
